Former AFTER FOREVER Singer To Perform With DARK FORTRESS At Dutch Concert
June 4, 2010German black metallers DARK FORTRESS have issued the following update:
"We will play a unique show — probably the last one for 2010 — on June 14th in De Boerderij in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands. This show will be part of Seraph's final exam at the Conservatory of Rotterdam, thus all your support and help is needed, and will be highly appreciated. We will make this show a very special event, playing songs we've never performed live so far, including 'Wraith' from our latest album, 'Ylem'. Floor Jansen (REVAMP, ex-AFTER FOREVER) will join us on lead vocals for the first and only performance of 'Wraith' ever! So make sure you won't miss this unique opportunity. Two other projects of Seraph will also be playing this event, namely SLEEP IS WRONG (rock) and STEPHANIE LEHMANN PROJECT (world music)."
Doors will open at 19.30, and the show will start at 20.00. Tickets are only 5 euros.
A trailer for "Ylem", the video for the title track of the new album from German black metallers DARK FORTRESS, can be viewed below. According to a press release, parts of the clip were shot in a natural cave.
"Ylem" was released in January via Century Media Records. The album's limited first-pressing CD also includes a special O-card packaging as well as the bonus track "Sycamore Trees", a cover version of a song originally written by Angelo Badalamenti and sung by jazz vocalist Jimmy Scott. The original version was part of the soundtrack for the movie "Twin Peaks - Fire Walk With Me" by David Lynch.
"Ylem" was recorded at V. Santura's (TRIPTYKON, NONEUCLID, CELTIC FROST) Woodshed Studio without any outside influences or distractions.
